15 Things I Did While I Was 15
17:39:00
So on Monday, I turn 16. You’d think I’d be excited, and I
kind of am, but mostly I’m freaked out.
For the first time, I’ll legally be able to drive a car, which terrifies me. Despite the fact that I’ll have an adult in the front seat next to me, I know I’ll be in control of the car. How am I supposed to do that? Ugh.
Anyway, I was thinking the other day and I realized that I’ve changed a LOT the last year. I’ve grown so much as a person, and I’ve realized a lot of things about myself too. I figured I’d share these with you guys, so with no further ado, here is my list of 15 things I did while I was 15:

Anyway, I was thinking the other day and I realized that I’ve changed a LOT the last year. I’ve grown so much as a person, and I’ve realized a lot of things about myself too. I figured I’d share these with you guys, so with no further ado, here is my list of 15 things I did while I was 15:
Two of my favourite musicians are Ed Sheeran and All Time
Low (post about that concert here). This past year I was lucky enough to see
both of them live, and it was amazing! I’ve technically seen Ed Sheeran twice
now, and at one of the gigs, I stood by the barrier!
As you all know due to this post, I spent Christmas in Thailand, and I got to feed an elephant! They really are the sweetest animals, although quite intimidating.
This year I travelled quite a lot, and also came to the realization that I don’t actually have much time left living at home. I feel like this past year I’ve really appreciated how much I love my family, and how grateful I am for them.
I travelled to NYC! I loved it, and I can definitely see myself living there someday. The city is just amazing, and words honestly can’t describe how it made me feel.
I realized this year that I’m the type of person who really needs to take time for myself. I’ve understood that I don’t need to say yes to everything, and that I function better if I get to be by myself for a bit.
My new years resolution this year was to become a pescetarian, and I’ve managed to keep that up 100%. I’m proud of myself, and I really enjoy it, so I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon.
Obviously, I also started my blog this year! I love it, and it feels amazing to have somewhere to speak about the things I love and to connect with you guys (something I’d like to do more of).
This is a bit of a strange one, but I jumped off a bridge this year! Don’t worry, nothing dangerous, but I did one of those jumps while connected to a string and then dangled underneath. I don’t know what it’s called, and I probably should have looked that up. It was scary, but a hell of a lot of fun!
About a month ago, I reunited with my long distance best friend, who I haven’t seen for two years. We spent an amazing week together, and I’m so happy I got to do that. If you guys are interested, I might do a post about the challenges of living on the other side of the world from your best friend, because I know it’s surprisingly common.
I joined a swim team this year, something I’ve been very scared to do. At first it sucked, because I was so pathetically bad, but after a while I grew to love it.
Another new years resolution of mine was to start a diary. Yes, I know, cliché. But so far, I’ve kept it up, and it really helps me sort out my thoughts, and I find it very therapeutic.
A bit of a weird one, but this year I’ve realized what a great place Norway is, I’ve always rejected that side of me, because I just love England so much more, but this year I’ve felt a bit more open to the fact that Norway is a decent place to grow up.
I cut my hair to shoulder length this year, and it felt amazing. My hair was always my pride and joy, and I was so scared, but I donated it to charity and it made me feel so happy. Plus, I found that short hair looks really good on me.
I’ve become a lot more confident this year, and although it’s still something I struggle with, I feel a lot more comfortable being myself, and I don’t feel like I constantly need to impress anyone anymore.
I guess those are all the main things I’ve done this year. I could go into a lot more detail, but I decided to keep it brief as this post is already too long. If you’d like to hear more about any of these, shoot me a comment/tweet and I’ll comply!
What are three things you’ve done this last year? I’d love to know, so write it down I the comments!

Happy birthday! I'm 18 and I've only just started learning to drive and let me tell you it is the most nerve-wracking and yet exciting thing I've ever done! (I wrote a whole post on my blog about it, it meant that much to me). In the past year I also cut my hair from where it was at my hips, to about my chin; passed my first year at university and also went to my first concert. XOXO
ReplyDeleteI literally love this post! I've realised that we have a lot in common: Harry Potter for starters!! Our age, I turned 16 on the 3rd of July, so we're literally a few weeks apart haha!! And loving New York; I've never been but it's my absolute dream to go!!! Ed Sheeran is one of my favourite artists too, I've come to really appreciate how talented he is!!!
