The Time I (Almost) Met Halsey
21:36:00Last Sunday, I saw Halsey live. It was one of the best nights of my life.
She was absolutely amazing. I'm not the type of person who goes to concerts if I don't absolutely love the band/artist, and I definitely love Halsey. Every single song.
By some miracle, I ended up second row.
Her voice filled the tiny concert hall, and everyone sang along loudly. I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. She made me feel so comfortable, so happy, and I truly loved every second of it.
I only discovered Halsey when Badlands was released, but for the past few months I've been addicted to Room 93 too. When she announced that she was coming to Norway, I was desperate to go. It was so totally worth it.
Flashing lights, loud singing and happiness were three main elements of that night. She interacted so incredibly with us, and I swear she looked directly at me at one point.
She brought Lido, her boyfriend, on stage during Drive, and it was such a beautiful sequence.
After the concert, we hit the merch booth. I really regret not getting a t-shirt from the All Time Low concert, so I got one this time. I love it. I also bought a poster, which is going to hang on my wall as soon as we move.
We waited outside for a long while before Halsey actually came out. She walked right past me, only a few centimetres away. She told us she was going to grab a shower and then come out to see us, but over an hour passed and my mum was getting tired of waiting in the car. It was just after midnight when my mum dragged us home, and I really didn't want to leave. When I discovered on instagram that she'd come out to meet fans only 15min after we left, I felt quite heartbroken (I'm still not quite over that), but it was a brilliant night anyway.
What's the best concerrt you've ever been to? If you haven't been to one, who's someone you'd love to see live?

Yes, she is amazing! I think my absolute favourite song by her is Drive. I also just checked out your blog and I really liked it! I followed you on bloglovin :)
DeleteI tried to get tickets to Halsey but they sold out so quickly it was unbelievable! It sounded like such a brilliant concert, and I am so glad you had a great time. Gutted you didn't get to meet her though, but maybe next time! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's the pros of living in a small, desolate country I suppose :P It was a great concert, and yes, I was so upset! :)
DeleteMy music idol is Idina Menzel. I saw her in If/Then on Broadway last Feb and almost died. She was TEN FEET away from me and it was just amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd then for my 18th birthday last year I saw her World Tour Concert which was just unbelievable. I got a tee shirt (both times I saw her) and I had to buy a pre-autographed program of the show. I sadly didn't meet her but I will one day.

That's so cool! I don't know much about her, so I googled her and now I'm listening to the Frozen soundtrack!
